Las Vegas Man Sentenced to 35 Years in Prison for Child Exploitation Offenses and Related Charges
LAS VEGAS / Tuesday, October 13, 2026 – A Las Vegas man was sentenced today by United States District Judge Gloria M. Navarro to 420 months in prison, followed by 35 years of supervised release for sexual exploitation of children, coercion and enticement, and possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The government recommended a sentence of 420 months in prison, followed by a lifetime term of supervised release.
“Predators who target our most vulnerable will find no safe haven and no mercy in our justice system,” said First Assistant United States Attorney Sigal Chattah for the District of Nevada. “This sentence sends an unmistakable warning to anyone engaging in these abhorrent crimes: we will hunt you down, dismantle your network, and ensure you spend your years behind bars.”
“Protecting children and holding those who harm them fully accountable remains one of the FBI’s highest priorities,” said Special Agent in Charge Christopher S. Delzotto for the FBI Las Vegas Field Office. “The FBI and our law enforcement partners will pursue anyone who preys on a child with unwavering determination. And when these offenders are convicted in federal court, they face consequences that include justice without the possibility of parole.”
According to court documents, between April 27, 2025, and April 28, 2025, Daniel Hennigh used social media applications to communicate with another individual about sexually abusing children. During that time, he distributed a CSAM video he produced of a child in his care.
Hennigh pleaded guilty to one count of sexual exploitation of children; one count of coercion and enticement; one count of distribution of child pornography; and one count of possession of child pornography.
In addition to the term of imprisonment, under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act, Hennigh will be required to register as a sex offender and keep the registration current.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice.
