ICE, local partners arrest alleged arsonist in Las Vegas
The criminal illegal alien has also been charged with domestic violence and drug possession
LAS VEGAS / September 2, 2026 — ICE Salt Lake City arrested Jaime Tan Francisco, a 55-year-old criminal illegal alien from the Philippines who’s been arrested for arson, domestic violence and possession of a controlled substance. Francisco has prior convictions for possession of methamphetamine and harassment.
“Francisco entered the U.S. in April of 2000, but violated the terms of his admission and went on to commit a series of crimes,” said ICE Director David Venturella. “He was convicted of misdemeanor harassment on July 5, 2006, and then of methamphetamine possession in 2014. On July 25 this year, Las Vegas police arrested him for domestic battery, using or possessing drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer, attempted arson and drug possession. Criminal illegal aliens are unwelcome in the U.S., and ICE is partnering with state and local police to keep them off our streets and out of our communities.”
Francisco was admitted into the U.S. in April 2000, in Detroit. He was authorized to remain until Oct. 26 that year but remained in the country illegally.
ICE took him into custody Aug. 2, where he will remain pending removal proceedings.
